Two Weeks In Five Minutes

Okay, it's been awhile, haha. It isn't often that I get to come home early! :) (early meaning like, 5pm?!) In many ways my hectic schedule has really taught me to cherish every bit of time in the best way possible. I will attempt to complete this blog post in 5 minutes! :D I'm going to talk about stuff in the last two weeks in a very, very random fashion lol, so fasten your seatbelt haha.

Council investiture! Something that we spent late nights rehearsing for, and it was pretty cool. Most of us messed up the dance but whatever, haha. Really awesome job to the Investiture Comm, so if you're reading this a big thanks! Much love and thanks go out to my buddy Reshma as well as my BW buddy Nanett, you are both so AWESOME. :) Thanks for everything! <3

Random thought, we need to do PW now!

Other odds and ends recently: HOTA campaign CIP where I really wish I had the opportunity to approach more people. I was quite enthusiastic for like the first couple of days then after that my energy started waning. :( Oh well. Other than that, attended a few match supports (haven't been to a losing match yet!), ushered for guitar concert (but couldn't go R-Project), got a new bag, etc etc. Oh, and I'm in House D now! BW ownage! :D

Yeah, so that was kind of less than 5 minutes, so I'll spend the remaining like 20 seconds talking about how much I love Ugly Betty now (Amanda is easily the best, haha), how I'm glad that Lost is beginning to reveal some answers, how Heroes is beginning to confuse me a bit, how much the ending of this season of Survivor sucked, how I wished Dustin and Kandice would've worned TAR All Stars (although Eric and Danielle are infinitely better than annoying Charla and MIrna) and yay to Melinda going on Idol: although Jordin will probably get it, Blake FTW!

Life and Death

I got a haircut. :) Please people, keep your hands off my hair! Actually I don't mind, haha, it's been a long long time since I've gotten a noticeable haircut - usually when I get a haircut it gets cut so minimally that it's hardly noticeable. Oh, and lots of people got haircuts too, I dunno why.

The last week has been pretty hectic, with the immense number of tests (Chem tutorial quiz and mock SPA, both of which I will probably do terribly terribly terribly at, Bio lecture test, Lit reading test and not to mention the Econs lecture test where I didn't even read that concrete was derived from sand and thought they were competitive goods - I mean, one is gray and the other is brown... what am I supposed to guess?), so this week should hopefully be more relaxed.

Today was pretty fun, actually. Talked a lot with Lianne, Wampy and everyone else about placentas and foetuses during our 10am lunch (how very timely), attended lectures - watching the Math lecturer explode and the Chem lecturer go about his usual jokes, of which the Shakespeare one I insist to the skeptical Julian the intention of a sexual innuendo, playing inane word games with Charlene during GP (which technically is relevant to the subject!), sharing inside jokes about terrorists and people, y'know, celebrated Mr. Park/Chan's birthday in the Chem lab and went home to relax with Lester over a cool game called Death on the Nile.

Happy birthday Shakespeare!

Long Day's Journey Into Night

Back from camp and I barely have time to blog. :( Four tests next week (for each of my H2 subjects), three of which are lecture tests (and Chem tutorial test). Finished reading 'Long Day's Journey Into Night' today after coming back from camp, then subsequently fell asleep, only to wake up at 7pm for dinner. Flash forward to 9.42 pm, furiously typing something for my LJ so that I can either do my PI (argh) or read through Econs again.

As for what happened at camp, I can't say (sworn to secrecy, ahem), but all I can say that it was very tough and exhausting but very fun and fulfilling. Got to know a lot more people in my batch, and really had fun bonding as a house (and making history together... ahem pirate ship). We made it, 27s! Special thanks to my awesome 26 buddy Reshma; love you loads, for everything you did for me.

9.47 pm, should I be starting on my PI?

What's Left Of Me

Like oh my god, peoples. So anyway, during like PW, we were like in class, and some people were like visiting blogs and stuff, and Natalie was like, "hey, I saw your face on Christine's blog!", and I'm like "huh", and she's like "yeah, your primary school pictures!", and I'm like "no way!" and she's like "yeah!" and I'm like okay how many times can I actually use the word 'like' in a run-on sentence? (Like, 10, but don't count on me because I don't take math.)

So just about 20 minutes ago I went to look at my LiveJournal friends page and lo and behold, I scrolled down and I got my first glimpse of Vera, Justin, Teren and Daryl on one of Daryl's blog posts (and half a picture of me on the next picture!), and I scrolled down even more to see Chuting and Christine's posts too. Candids of HPPSers and shots from Australia too! :)

Yes, we shall have another outing soon. :) As long as Christine doesn't pull more lame attempts at alliteration. ('Ashley the Attention Addict?' Ahem.) And yeah Daryl, it really was carefree, huh. Back then being dismissed at 4pm was like hell-freezing-over late, haha. Then we would go off gallivanting watching movies, eating fast food, going to each others' homes (will forever miss the sliding glass door that I walked into at Daryl's old place) to um... do our usual HPPS things, haha.

But it was fun!

P.S. Wanted to scan my pics but suddenly can't find them. :( I just saw the 6 Hu class picture a couple of weeks ago under a big stack of stuff but now it's gone...

L-O-V-E

Just a quick post: A very heartfelt thank you to everyone who has voted for me and supported me for the council elections; classmates, friends, teachers, your support really means a lot to me. :) At least it made all the posters, banners, effort and LOLOLOLOL embarrassment worth it! *hugs all* Congrats to my campaign team 'LOL' David and Zhiying, as well as everyone else who made it!

Hey Hey, You You

As usual, I will begin my journal entry with some social commentary on current affairs issues that are of utmost importance...

Like, what the hell has Avril done to herself for her latest MTV? Is that Avril or Ashlee Simpson? I must confess though, as un-Avril-esque as it is (not that I liked her original emo-ness / angst to begin with), I think I actually like it. :)

On to real life! Watched Dramafeste on Saturday and BW totally should have won. :( I think a lot of people were expecting BW to win; I mean, best script, best acting, and not best production? Oh well.

Council interviews today omgomgscary, Bio test tomorrow in which I will try to recover from last week's Chem disaster. Better remind myself to do the paper faster! At least there's no (ugh) calculation involved. Math lectures are becoming sort of a guilty pleasure for me (the irony, I know). It's kind of funny watching everyone bore themselves to death, and the lecturer will make some sort of comment to glorify mathematicians and I'm like, *giggle* suuuure. And I really don't mind sitting in and learning all that, haha. And I understand! :)

V-Day Baby

Woohoo! My first LiveJournal entry ever! Finally decided to get one after wanting to for ages (too lazy, haha). And what better day to create it than on my birthday? I wanted to find some way to give a shout-out to all of my friends for their gifts and warm wishes today, so I figured that I might as well create a LiveJournal today so I can properly type out one long list of thank-you's for everyone.

Gifts from my OG and my skanks!

Firstly, to my skanks Lester, Joshua Ang and Yichen, thanks for um, the super-cool thong from newurbanmale! Haha, I think I'll wear it to school tomorrow. ;) The material is super comfortable haha. Next, thanks to my wonderful OG BW4 for what they did! You guys rock, I love each and every one of you, and thanks for the condoms and cake, haha. I opened one sachet already and it smells quite nice, haha. Greasy, though, haha. (I hope it's extra L'ooooooong, LOL)

Gifts from my class!

Also, to my class 08S03C, you guys are awesome! Thanks Julian for your cactus, Wampy for your card and chocs. Thanks Seleena, Charlene and my beloved angel for that kick-ass notebook (the furry cover feels damn nice!), Yi Cong for the Dove chocolate, Lianne for the unfinished Roadrunner (I love interpretative art, haha), and everyone else in the class for the serenade at the canteen, the apple crumble birthday cake and your well-wishes, including Mr Park!

Gifts from other friends!

Thanks to my RICO friends Hwee Leong, Boyi, Ming Quan and Jason for the super-nice Op pencil-case! I've been going without a pencil case since I lost my white Billabong one in LT2 (sniff sniff) so it's a really timely present! We're not CCA-mates anymore but I'm sure we'll still remain close friends. :) Thanks Bernard for the cute pig named Ashley, Shuting for the dog plushie, Jeremy Yu for the balloon, 08A01D my Lit class, and everyone else who made this day such a special one! It really means a lot to me, so thank you very much! To show my appreciation I'm going to sleep with all my new stuffed toys tonight (and with my thong and condom, haha just kidding).

Group shot of all my gifts!

About 20 minutes left before the clock ticks away from the best day of the year, so here's one last Happy Valentine's Day and Happy Ashley Day (haha ego ego) to everybody. :)
